I am none of those anymore; I haven’t been for a long time.

Now, I am a writer, and I write mystery novels.

It still sounds surreal. Maybe it’s impostor syndrome. But writing is what I do when I wake up, it’s what I do at noon, and it’s what I do at night, when the muses won’t let me sleep until I finish a novel… and then another… and then another.

I’m not complaining; on the contrary, I am deeply grateful.

My former selves were not happy, they did not enjoy what they did. The version of me today does.
